Youth President of Okere Urhobo Kingdom Discredits "Unauthorized" Press Conference on Delineation Report

  Wari, April 9, 2025 —  The Youth President of Okere-urhobo-Kingdom, Hon. Eboh Okpako Elvis, has strongly denounced a recent press conference held by Hon. Matthew Poko Oporu, Chief Jude Onovughe Igherebo and others labeling it a "shameful" and "unauthorized" attempt tospeak for the Okere Urhobo people on the proposed delineation report released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Speaking at a media briefing on Tuesday in Warri,Hon. Eboh alongside other other stakeholders in the kingdom asserted that the press conference in question does not reflect the stance of the recognized leadership and stakeholders of Okere-urhobo-Kingdom, Wari.  He described the organizers as “political jobbers” and accused them of attempting to mislead the public for self-serving interests. Ugborodo Community Holds Peaceful Protest Against INEC’s Ward Delineation

  Residents of Ugborodo, a prominent community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, staged a peaceful protest on Wednesday, April 10, voicing strong opposition to the recent ward delineation exercise carried out by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a massive show of solidarity, hundreds of community members marched through the streets, rejecting the proposed delineation as unjust.  They urged INEC to revisit and revise the plan, emphasizing the need for fairness and equitable representation. Tackle Quackery to Safeguard Public Health – Pharmacist Oghoyon Urges Authorities

As efforts to improve public health continue across Nigeria, former Chairman of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Delta State Chapter, Pharmacist Dave Oghoyon, has called for urgent measures to curb the activities of unqualified individuals in the pharmaceutical profession. In an interview  on Monday, April 7, 2025, Oghoyon emphasized the vital role pharmacists play in grassroots healthcare. He described pharmacists as the “closest and first point of contact for many people seeking medical help,” particularly in rural communities. Expressing deep concern over the prevalence of quackery, Oghoyon warned that unlicensed practitioners are endangering lives by providing incorrect medications and misleading patients.
