After 12 years of neglects the federal government has commenced the process of paying retires of the Delta Steal Company DSC.

The government today in Oruworun in Udu LGA Delta state kickstarted the verification of over 5000 pensioners
Speaking during the exercise secretary of the Pensioners Transition Assignment Directorate PTAD  Sharon Ikeazo said president Muhamadu Buhari is doing everything possible to make sure it clear all the past nonpayment and areas.

She added that Payment usually commences 4 months after verification.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
