DELTA CENTRAL: Amori set to declare for senate in Dec.

The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has said Delta state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remain one united family.


The Speaker stated this when he played host to Delta Central PDP Leader, Senator Ighoyota Amori in Asaba who is consultating leaders and chieftains  of the party in the senatorial district of his political ambition to contest the Delta Central senatorial zone.

Also speaking, the Delta state House of Assembly representative for Ethiope East Constituency, Hon Evance Ivwurie said Senator Amori has paid his dues in the party, adding that his emergence as Delta Central Senatorial  District candidate at a later date will enable the party to recover the 2015 stolen mandate given to Amori and PDP.


Earlier, Senator Amori said the 2015 decision of the Court of Appeal which delivered coflicting judgments murdered justice and come 2019, the anticipated landslide victory for him and the party will change the narratives for better representation for the good people of Delta Central.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
