Following recent increase in the price of petrol,motorists and residents of Warri and environs have been subjected to untold hardship by the operators of Matrix Petrol Station Airport road Warri, as they have refused to help in controlling the long queues that  disrupt traffic by blocking two lanes of the airport road on daily basis.
For over five weeks activities at the filling station has continuously shut  one part of the road, thus forcing road users to squeeze into the opposite lane.
While Management of the station has so far done well in dispensing fuel at the approved rate of 145/per liter, the time has come for it to be responsible for controlling the huge turnout of customers on daily basis.
The Delta state government must also ensure that situations like this in all part of the state.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
