The Delta state government has directed owners of illegal sign posts along the median of Airport road, refinery road and other major routes to immediately remove them of face prosecution.
Member representing Delta Central on the Delta state waste management board Sir Igho Akpojotor in a chat with news men in Warri decried her return of the sign posts   which constantly defaces the environment.
He equally called on event organizers and churches to endeavor to remove their banners place at strategic position after such programs.
He maintained that the current administration led by governor Ifeanyi Okowa will stop at nothing in ensuring that the state is clean.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
