WARRI: POLICE SHOOT TEARGAS IN SCHOOL, TEN STUDENTS IN..
Some students of Ugborikoko secondary school in Uvwie L.G.A, Delta state were today rushed to the emergency ward of Capital Hill Hospital suffering from the effects of teargas allegedly shot into the school premises by the Nigerian police force .
Confirming the incident, Dr. Efemena said about ten students were rushed to the hospital around 10 am on Thursday said some have been resuscitated while others are still under critical care.
It was gathered that some police officers were allegedly after some hoodlums within the immediate vicinity of the school, which unfortunately resulted in the use of teargas.
The Delta state police command spokesman, DSP Andrew Aniamaka while confirming the report regretted the incident.
He however said the teargas was not shot in their classroom.
Aniamaka further confirmed that the hoodlums have been arrested adding that critical stakeholders in the area as at the time of the report are meeting with the police over the incident.
