Ex-Deputy Gov, Utuama,loses wife

Otu-jeremi town in Ughelli South Local goverment area was on Thursday 18th of March,2021 thrown into  mourning after it was announced that Mrs. Tuwere Nelly Utuama, wife of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN), is dead.

Late Mrs Utuama reportedly died after a brief illness. She was 65-year-old..

Her husband, Prof Utuama, was a Deputy Governor of Delta State under the administration of former Governor Emmanuel Uduagha between 2007 to 2015.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
