Warri, Delta State — November 14, 2025 The Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA) has issued a firm and expanded warning over the growing harassment of Keke and Okada operators in Delta State, accusing disgruntled former members and other unauthorized individuals of attempting to forcefully collect illegal check-off dues under fake union names. Speaking during a detailed press conference on Friday in Effurun, COMTOA State Treasurer, Mr. Miller OkeOghene , flanked by other top executives of the association, condemned the actions of groups who he said have no recognition from the Delta State Government. Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
