AGAIN: Keke Operator Slump in Delta

WARRI:Another commercial tricycle operator, better known as Keke, has reportedly slumped and died in Effurun, Uvwie local government area.


He was said to have slumped after parking his tricycle to buy food from a roadside food vendor.

The incident happened on Thursday morning by the entrance of Okorodudu road near the popular Old Airport Junction. 

Witnesses said the incident may not be unconnected with the current economy hardship in the country over rising cost of food and petrol.

This comes weeks after another tricycle operator was said to have suddenly slumped in Warri South LGA.

Delta State Govt Announce Monthly Environmental Sanitation to hold Saturday

The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean. The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro , will lead officials of the Ministry and other relevant agencies to monitor the exercise across the state to ensure full compliance.
