The Delta State Government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for October will hold across the state on Saturday, October 25, 2025 , between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information in Asaba, both vehicular and human movements will be restricted during the period of the exercise. Residents have been urged to clean their surroundings, cut overgrown weeds, desilt drains, and ensure proper waste disposal to prevent disease outbreaks. The statement reminded Deltans that it is their civic responsibility to keep at least a 20-metre radius around their premises clean.   Residents of Ugborodo, a prominent community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, staged a peaceful protest on Wednesday, April 10, voicing strong opposition to the recent ward delineation exercise carried out by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
